Up to €100k in hardware refresh avoided. Communication and infrastructure reconnected.
When its existing infrastructure reached the next renewal cycle, Segafredo chose a connected cloud operating model. Together with Cloud Dream Team, it moved core workloads to Azure, migrated around 50 telephone numbers to Teams Phone and brought approximately 40 users and endpoints under central management.

Three numbers make the scale tangible.
- Up to €100kavoided data-centre refresh investment
- Approx. 50telephone numbers and associated call flows migrated
- Approx. 40users and endpoints in the central operating model
Segafredo avoided the pending hardware refresh and brought communication, users, endpoints and core workloads into one governable Microsoft cloud model.
The next infrastructure decision needed to solve more than hardware.
The local two-server cluster with storage and UPS had reached its next renewal cycle. At the same time, around 50 telephone numbers with business-critical call flows and approximately 40 users and endpoints needed an operating model that could connect communication, collaboration and secure access.
The business case was avoiding a repeat of the same cycle.
Another hardware cycle would have triggered an investment of up to €100,000 without bringing telephony, collaboration and central management together. Segafredo therefore used the pending refresh as a strategic decision point for a Microsoft cloud platform.
Telephony, workplace and infrastructure in three connected moves.
Segafredo and Cloud Dream Team connected three previously separate areas. Microsoft Teams Phone took over telephone numbers and call flows. Microsoft 365, Intune, Defender and Entra brought collaboration, devices and identities together. Core workloads moved to an Azure landing zone aligned with the Cloud Adoption Framework. The result was not a set of isolated migrations, but one connected operating model.
50 numbers moved to Teams Phone
Following a pilot, around 50 telephone numbers were migrated to Microsoft Teams Phone, including groups, reception routing, dial menus, holiday rules and out-of-office messages.
40 users and endpoints connected centrally
Files moved into the SharePoint environment used through Teams. Approximately 40 users and endpoints were brought together through Intune, Defender, Entra ID and policy-based access.
Core workloads moved to Azure
The two-server cluster, storage and UPS were replaced by core workloads in an Azure landing zone. Power Automate and Forms support recurring joiner, mover and leaver processes.

The modernisation brought our collaboration, telephony and IT infrastructure together in a secure cloud operating model. At the same time, we avoided a major hardware refresh and created a modern foundation for further development.
