THE STORY
Technology in service of the mission.
Floga supports children with cancer and their families. That work does not stop at the office door: team members travel, support activities and participate in events around the globe.
The previous IT environment had not been built around that reality. Email was hosted on a traditional IMAP platform, while organisational files remained on an in-house NAS accessible only from the office. Around ten mixed laptops were managed individually rather than through a shared device and security model.
The goal was therefore not simply to move Floga to the cloud. The organisation needed a workplace that was easier to use, centrally controlled and securely accessible wherever the team was working.

FROM OFFICE-BOUND TO SECURELY ACCESSIBLE
Location is no longer the security boundary.
The former NAS was replaced by a structured SharePoint and Teams environment. Data was migrated, reorganised and protected through clearly defined permissions. Staff can now reach the information they need outside the office, while access remains tied to their organisational identity and the compliance status of the device.

ONE IDENTITY. ONE SHARED WORKPLACE.
Collaboration became simpler, not just more modern.
Mailboxes moved from the legacy IMAP provider to Exchange Online and were protected with Exchange Online Protection. Teams and Outlook now provide one shared communication environment across devices.
A practical daily process also became easier: instead of forwarding incoming requests and separately telling colleagues who should handle them, the team can work directly from shared mailboxes. In SharePoint, everyone works from the same clearly structured file environment.
SECURITY AS A SHARED FOUNDATION
Unmanaged devices. One consistent security model.
The previously unmanaged laptops were standardised on Windows 11 and enrolled in Microsoft Intune. Microsoft Defender protects the endpoints, while Patch My PC manages applications and updates centrally. MFA applies to every user. Conditional Access restricts organisational resources to compliant organisation devices. Exchange Online Protection and EasyDMARC further strengthen the mail flow.
